PULL-A-PART AWARDED SEVENTH “CLEAN YARD GOLD STATUS” RECOGNITION FROM INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
Atlanta, GA- Pull-A-Part Indianapolis received it's seventh Clean Yard Gold Status Award from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). "Indiana Clean Yard" is IDEM's environmental recognition program for auto salvage recyclers throughout the state whose commitment to environmental stewardship and the health of their communities is at the highest level.
In his announcement to Pull-A-Part, IDEM Commissioner Brian Rockensuess said, "Your achievement sets a positive example for your industry, encouraging others to improve daily business operations through excellent environmental performance and community stewardship."
Indiana Clean Yard-Gold Level is the highest level of recognition an auto salvage recycler can acheive and it is a product of their commitment to environmental protection and community stewardship. IDEM uses a checklist to evaluate the Best Management Practices (BMPs) and the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to evaluate Indiana Clean Yard Gold Level applicants. Only those who satisfy the the standards set by IDEM receive Gold Level status.
Derick Corbett, SVP of External Affairs was excited to see Pull-A-Part Indianapolis win the award again. Corbett said, "Receiving this honor really is the gold standard for auto salvage recyclers in the state. It's the goal for which we should all strive because it signifies the care with which a company serves their environment and their community, both of which should be the top priority.
