Soldiers’ Angels Adopt-A-Family Program Exceeds 2023 Success With Help From Pull-A-Part
Atlanta, GA – Soldiers’ Angels is among the leading organizations serving America’s Veterans and their families. Once again, their service was on display this holiday season as they worked through their Adopt-A-Family program to ensure that Veteran families would not feel forgotten when their children looked under the tree Christmas morning. Thousands of families were served through the Soldiers’ Angels program, and that service was made possible by donations from individuals and companies that believe in the Soldiers’ Angels mission. Among those corporate citizens who stepped to the plate was Georgia-based Pull-A-Part, one of the largest privately-owned automotive recyclers in America.
Pull-A-Part employees across the country worked together to raise and donate over $45,000 to Soldiers’ Angels' efforts. Pull-A-Part’s effort resulted in 76 veteran families being cared for during the holiday and over 213 children receiving presents. In addition to gifts, every family received a gift card to purchase groceries for their family dinner.
Derick Corbett, Senior Vice President at Pull-A-Part stated, "Whether it is our Fueling Futures program or our commitment to the Soldiers’ Angels mission, folks can see the commitment that Pull-A-Part team members have to service. Our company is great because our people care, both for their community and our customers.”
The 2024 effort ended with Pull-A-Part team members wrapping toys and packing boxes. Each box was packed specifically with the items that matched their holiday wish list. Corbett added, “When service starts with care, good things happen. Pull-A-Part is full of teammates who care, not just during the holidays. We are very, very, proud of our people and continue to be in awe of what they accomplish.”
The mission of Soldiers’ Angels is to provide aid, comfort, and resources to the military, Service Members, Veterans, and their families. The vision of Soldiers’ Angels is to ensure our military, Veterans, and their families have access to needed community resources and support. Through the 2024 Adopt-A-family program, they successfully served more than 2,000 families, exceeding the 1,898 they were able to serve in 2023. Amy Palmer, President & CEO of Soldiers’ Angels, said, “We are so thankful for Pull-A-Part’s generosity. The need for support is urgent as we call upon those with the means to support Adopt-A-Family and give back to those who have sacrificed so much for us.”
