JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Production Chief, you will oversee vehicle processing from start to finish and lead our production team members as they prepare and place vehicles on our display yard so customers can safely and quickly find the parts they need. The production team also prepares and ships vehicles and parts for recycling–keeping our yards clean and environmentally friendly. The ideal candidate will be able to fulfill the responsibilities required for the role and demonstrate the desired qualifications listed below:

• Manage the production team in accordance with all safety requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Manage the salvage and recycling operation with approximately ten employees under your direct supervision.
• Ability to work in a hands-on, all-weather outdoor environment.
• Effectively mentor, train, and coach current & new team-members to success.
• Set goals for the team that align with overall store and company goals.
• Ability to execute and complete the company playbook (daily objectives).
• Auditing inventory levels and inputting information into the inventory system.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to work production hours (Monday - Friday). Occasional weekend, overtime, and holiday work may be required to fulfill weekly objectives.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office products / applications).
• Strong administrative /organizational skills.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required by a specific task.
• Must have reliable means of transportation to work.
• Preferred qualifications (but not required) include:
  • General mechanical understanding and application.
  • Basic knowledge of auto parts.
  • Experience with maintenance / troubleshooting of heavy equipment (loaders, hydraulics, tow motors, large equipment).
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish.
